ADULT SIZE: 6 cm

WATER CONDITIONS: Moderately soft and acidic

TEMPERATURE RANGE: 23-28 C

FOOD: Feed Corydoras adolfoi small live-foods and fine grade dried foods

DISTRIBUTION: This species comes from Brazil, Venezuela

AQUARIUM CARE: Hailing from the Brazilian Rio Negro, and Rio Uaupes areas, C. adolfoi is a typical Amazonian cory that thrives in a black water set up with fine substrate (sand or small gravel) leaf litter, bogwood and dense planting. Soft acidic water is preferable.

It is a peaceful and attractive species with gold and black markings around it's head and back. Best kept in a small shoal of at least six individuals. Feed a good mix of live foods, dry foods and algae wafers.

This species enjoys an Amazon style community tank; well-planted with shoals of small tetras and a few Apistogramma cichlids.

BREEDING: Eggs are typically laid on a substrate (usually the aquarium glass) at night time often after larger water changes. Raising fry can be difficult.
